A is always shown in the barcode, no need to fill in the A as it will be added automatically. Also the last digit (9th,the checksum) will be added automatically. If you only have 7 digits (excluding the last digit if it's the checksum) for the barcode then fill in a leading 0 (zero). e.g. 1234567 would be 01234567.
