TIFF Compression

The TIFF files can be compressed using one of the settings below.

LZW is the default compression for the barcode when saved in the *.tif file format

No

No Compression, the *.tif file isn't compressed. The file size for a 100% UPC-A at 1200 dpi (32 Bit color) is 8.28 MB

LZW

The best compression for the saved *.tif. The file size for a 100% UPC-A at 1200 dpi (32 Bit color) is 432 KB

CCITT3

The CCITT3 is a fax compression and is always saved in Black and White e.g. 1 Bit color depth. The file size for a 100% UPC-A at 1200 dpi is 79.2 KB. Shows as CCITT T.4 in properties. (NOT available in Windows XP and Windows Vista)

CCITT4

The CCITT4 is a fax compression and is always saved in Black and White e.g. 1 Bit color depth. The file size for a 100% UPC-A at 1200 dpi is 12.5 KB. Shows as CCITT T.6 in properties. (NOT available in Windows XP and Windows Vista)

RLE

RLE is also known as PackBits. The file size for a 100% UPC-A at 1200 dpi (32 Bit color) is 3.29 MB

(NOT available in Windows XP and Windows Vista)

Please Note!!

CCITT3, CCITT4, RLE are NOT available in Windows XP and Windows Vista due to a limitation in the Microsoft GDI+ included with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
