How to edit the *.eps or *.emf in Adobe Illustrator |

Make sure you have saved your *.eps (Encapsulated PostScript) vector file or *.emf (Enhanced MetaFiles) vector file.
Start/Run Adobe Illustrator.
In Adobe Illustrator click on File menu and then click on Open, click on the *.eps file or *.emf file you would like to open.
The Bar code is shown in Adobe Illustrator. Please note that the barcode is save with a transparent background.
Click on the Bar code, point at the barcode and click your left mouse button.
In the Object menu click on Ungroup.
Now you will be able to edit any of the bars and characters in the barcode. Left click on your mouse away from the barcode to deselect all (click in an area away from the barcode).
Do as shown in the image below, to the left of the barcode, click and hold down the left mouse button, drag the mouse pointer to the right, so that all bars in the barcode are selected. Please note that the digits in the barcode should NOT be included in the Group.
Click on the Object menu and then click on Group the group the bars in the barcode
Now you might wonder why we have not included the digits ?
If the digits are included in the Group and I want to adjust the height of the barcode, the digits height would also be adjusted, and that doesn't look good. Please look at the images below.

The barcode when the height have been adjusted. As you can see the digits in the barcode doesn't look as you would like it to. That's why they are not included in the Group for now.
This is how it look when the digits are not included in the Group and the bar height is adjusted. Please look at the image below.
Now that I have adjusted the height, I want to include the digits again, click and hold down the left mouse button, drag the mouse pointer to the right, so that all bars in the barcode and also the digits are selected.
Click on the Object menu and then click on Group. Now the bars and digits is one. of cause you could have made the settings in Barcode Image Maker Pro, but now you know how to do it in Adobe Illustrator.

Edit the Size of the barcode.
You can resize the barcode in Adobe Illustrator, by doing the following.
Open the *.eps or *.emf vector file.
The Bar code is shown in Adobe Illustrator. Please note that the barcode is save with a transparent background.
Click on the barcode
Normal Size
Move to the square in the upper left corner of the barcode, please look at the image below.

Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard and drag the mouse diagonally left to increase size or diagonally right to decrease size of the barcode.
