Black
Please note that the color values are calculated using RGB.
RGB Is Red, Green, Blue. A mix of the Red, Green, Blue will make up the color. Max is 255 and Min. is 0 (zero). R = 255, G = 255, B = 255 is White and R = 0, G = 0, B = 0 is Black. The above settings is Yellow.
HSV / HSB HSV stands for Hue, Saturation, and Value. HSV is also known as HSB, Hue, Saturation, Brightness. Red is at 0°, Green is at 120°, Blue is at 240°. Max. H = 359° Min. H = 0°. Max. S = 100%, Min. S = 0%. Max. V = 100 %, Min. V = 0% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSV_color_space
CMYK Is Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black), Max is 1 and Min. is 0,. So the CMYK has a 1001 settings for each color. When you save a barcode in the EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) file format and the option 'Save *.eps in the CMYK format' have been checked, then the CMYK will be used for the EPS, if the option isn't checked then RGB will be used.

“The most suitable and reliable colour combination is black bars on a white background. However, as a general rule, the background of the barcode symbol can be a light, warm colour that does not contain any black (such as yellow or light orange), and the bar colour can be a dark, cool colour that has no, or low, red content (such as dark blue or dark green). It is also a recommendation to avoid high gloss inks as this can cause problems with the reflectance values.”
