Encapsulated PostScript (*.eps)
Enhanced MetaFile (*.emf)
JPEG (*.jpg)
PNG (*.png)
TIFF (*.tif)
Windows Bitmap file (*.bmp)

What is recommended.
I recommend that you use a vector image, Encapsulated PostScript (*.eps) or Enhanced MetaFile (*.emf), Why ? Because it looks better in design mode, uses less memory. Images below are page size 100% (no magnification) on your screen (96 dpi).
How to Open/add an image.
Click on the File menu and then click on Place (Ctrl+D). Select the image you would like to add and place it.
Rotate barcode.
You will be able to rotate the barcode in InDesign, both vector and bitmap images. It's recommended that you only rotate 0, 90, 180, 270 degree rotations.
Sequential barcoding in Adobe InDesign
In the upcoming version 2.65 of Barcode Image Maker Pro (should be out in December 2011) you will be able to Export a Comma Delimited text file (*.txt) For Adobe InDesign, so that you will be able to use the Sequential barcoding made in Barcode Image Maker Pro in Adobe InDesign, just save the barcode images and then save the Comma Delimited text file (*.txt) For Adobe InDesign and do the rest in Adobe InDesign.
