Show/hide Start/Stop character.

The Codabar, Code 39, Code 39 Ext., Code 93, Code 93 Ext. has a start and stop character and as default it will be shown in the bar code.

Show the Start/Stop characters

You can change the setting in the Barcode menu. The default setting is Yes.

The Code 39 above shows the Start and Stop character and in this case it's the *. The Codabar uses letters A or B or C or D as the Start and Stop characters.

Hide the Start/Stop characters.

In the above image No have been selected, so the Start and Stop characters will not be shown in the barcode.

The Code 39 above has no Start and Stop character shown. Please note that the Start and Stop is still encoded in the barcode but not shown in the human readable text, that's the CODE 39R, the R is the checksum.

If you do not have the option in the Barcode menu, then make sure you have selected one of the supported barcodes. The Codabar, Code 39, Code 39 Ext., Code 93, Code 93 Ext.

Hide the Human readable text.
