ISBN barcode and ISMN barcode Database.

Included in Barcode Image Maker Pro is a ISBN database and ISMN database that will make it possible to format the ISBN barcode and ISMN barcode, all you need to do is to fill in the Registration group element and the Registrant element and the Publication element for the ISBN and Barcode Image Maker Pro will convert the input to a ISBN. For the ISMN you will need to fill in Publisher Element and the Item Element and a ISMN will be made.

ISBN number format.

Below you will be able to see the different isbn number format. The elements in a book barcode (ISBN), the input 978-0-11-111222-9

• 978 or 979 is the Prefix element (Always 3 digits)
• 0 is the Registration group element (Max. 5 digits)
• 11 is the Registrant element (Max. 7 digits)
• 111222 is the Publication element (Max. 6 digits)
• 9 is the Checksum (always 1 digit)

The total number of digits should always be 13 digits (digit supplement not included). So to convert a isbn to barcode, you just need to fill in the Registration group element and the Registrant element and the Publication element for the ISBN and Barcode Maker will use the build in database to convert the input to a ISBN barcode, a total of 9 digits (digit supplement not included). But you will also be able to fill in all the digits if you want too. Below you can see how you can make a ISBN barcode that includes a price tag.

First you need to select the barcode ISBN + 5 digit supplement. Please look at the image below.

I will now show the input that needs the least digits. Please look at the image below. So to convert a isbn to barcode have never been easier.

Only the Registration group element and the Registrant element and the Publication element have been filled in. But it will be converted to 978-0-11-111222-9. This is done by the isbn barcode generator.

The next input, is much like the one above, but I have included the hyphens. Please look at the image below.

If you are going to make a 979- Prefix element ISBN barcode, then please always include the 979-. Only the 978- will be converted automatically to a ISBN barcode.

The ISBN also supports the Light Margin, as shown in the barcode to the right.

Book barcode with a Price tag

The 5 digit supplement, also known as the price tag is the second part of the barcode, the 12345 in the image above.

If you right click in the 5 digit supplement you will see this menu, please look at the image below.

This is the first digit in the price tag. So if you are going to make a barcode for a book with the price of USD $44.95, you would fill in 5 for the USD and then the price without the decimal point, so it should be 54495. Elements in the ISMN, the input 979-0-2600-0043-8

• 979-0- is the Prefix element
• 2600 is the Publisher Element (Max.6 digits)
• 0043 is the Item Element (Max. 5 digits)
• 8 is the checksum
